Terms of Service

Last updated: May 15, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of petdrivr.com and app.petdrivr.com (together, "the Service"), operated by PetDrivr ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

1. What PetDrivr Is

PetDrivr is a marketplace where pet transport operators post available routes and pet owners search for transport on those routes. We are a platform that connects operators and pet owners — we are not a pet transport company, broker, or carrier.

We do not arrange, manage, or take responsibility for the transport of any animal. All transport agreements are made directly between operators and pet owners. PetDrivr has no involvement in these transactions.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By creating an account, you represent that you are 18 or older and have the legal authority to enter into these Terms.

3. Operator Accounts and Subscriptions

Free tier

Operators may post one active route at a time at no cost. The free tier does not include unlimited routes, featured placement, or route match alerts.

Paid tiers

  • Basic ($29/month): Unlimited active routes and a full operator profile.
  • Pro ($49/month): Everything in Basic plus featured route placement, route match alerts sent to pet owners, and a verified badge on your profile.

Billing

Subscriptions are billed monthly. Payment is processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel.

Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep access until then. We do not provide refunds for partial months or unused time.

Price changes

We may change subscription prices with 30 days' notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new price.

4. No Transaction Liability

PetDrivr does not process, hold, or guarantee payments between operators and pet owners. All payment arrangements are made directly between the operator and pet owner outside of the PetDrivr platform.

We are not responsible for:

  • Failed or disputed payments between operators and pet owners
  • Injuries, illness, loss, or death of any animal during transport
  • Damage to property during transport
  • Cancellations, no-shows, or scheduling failures by any operator
  • The accuracy of credentials, certifications, or representations made by operators on their profiles

5. Operator Responsibilities and Content Standards

Accurate information

Operators are responsible for ensuring that all information on their profile and route listings is accurate, current, and not misleading. This includes credentials, USDA registration status, insurance coverage, vehicle descriptions, pricing, and availability.

USDA compliance

USDA licensing and compliance obligations are entirely the operator's responsibility. PetDrivr does not verify USDA registration status. If you claim USDA registration on your profile, that claim must be accurate. We reserve the right to remove operators found to be misrepresenting their USDA status.

Operators are solely responsible for compliance with the Animal Welfare Act, USDA APHIS regulations, and any other applicable federal, state, or local laws governing animal transport.

No subcontracting without disclosure

If you post a route, you must be the operator who will perform the transport. Brokers and referring agents who subcontract transport to other operators may not use PetDrivr to find or book those jobs unless the subcontractor is the one posting the route directly.

Prohibited content

You may not post:

  • False or misleading credentials, route information, or pricing
  • Routes for animals that you are not legally permitted to transport
  • Content that violates any law
  • Spam, duplicate routes, or routes that are no longer available

6. Pet Owner Responsibilities

Pet owners are responsible for:

  • Verifying an operator's credentials and insurance before booking transport
  • Ensuring their pet has the required health certificates, vaccinations, and documentation for transport
  • Using secure, traceable payment methods and not sending payment via gift cards, wire transfers to unknown accounts, or other methods associated with fraud

7. Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Service to:

  • Commit fraud or scam other users
  • Scrape, harvest, or systematically collect operator contact information
  • Impersonate another person or entity
  • Attempt to circumvent the platform by collecting contact information and then directing users to competitors
  • Violate any applicable law

8. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if we determine you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent activity, or otherwise posed a risk to other users or the Service. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you, but are not required to do so.

You may close your account at any time by contacting us at hello@petdrivr.com.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PetDrivr and its officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service or any transaction arranged through the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) $100.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any operator listed is licensed, insured, or qualified to transport animals.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Hillsborough County, Florida, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users by email when we make material changes. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance.
